  • The grown habit is solitary or in clusters.
  • Develops on decomposing tree trunks and branches.
  • Fruiting body season is from May through December.
  • Distributed in the Neotropics but also in West Indies, Samoa and Java

Fruitbody cup-shaped 0.3 to 3.5 cm diameter, surface light red to orange red with at least three rows of white, fine, short hairs on the margin of the cup. The spore print is white. The stipe has a smooth surface, yellowish Orange to reddish yellow.
