Everybody loves fruit jam—so why not enjoy a tropical twist with this homemade Water Apple Jam? Made simply with chambakka and sugar, this bright, naturally pink spread is full of flavor and totally chemical-free. Enjoy it with toast, crackers, or as a topping for desserts. Keeps in the fridge for up to a month.
Instructions
- Prepare the Fruit:
- Wash and deseed the water apples (chambakka).
- Cook the Jam:
- Pour the mixture into a saucepan and add the sugar.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until thickened to a jam-like consistency (about 20–30 minutes).
- Cool and Store:
- Let the jam cool completely.
- Transfer to a clean glass jar and refrigerate.
