Description
A classic, vibrant green sauce made from fresh basil, ideal for pasta, sandwiches, or drizzling over veggies. Freezes well and is a great way to preserve a big harvest of basil.
Instructions
- Toast the pine nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden, about 3–5 minutes.
- In a food processor, combine basil, garlic, and toasted nuts. Pulse until finely chopped.
- With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until smooth.
- Add nutritional yeast and pulse again to combine. Add salt and lemon juice to taste.
Storage Notes:
- Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for 4–5 days.
- Freeze in ice cube trays and transfer to a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
