Description

A classic, vibrant green sauce made from fresh basil, ideal for pasta, sandwiches, or drizzling over veggies. Freezes well and is a great way to preserve a big harvest of basil.

🔪

Instructions

  1. Toast the pine nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden, about 3–5 minutes.
  2. In a food processor, combine basil, garlic, and toasted nuts. Pulse until finely chopped.
  3. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until smooth.
  4. Add nutritional yeast and pulse again to combine. Add salt and lemon juice to taste.

Storage Notes:

  • Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for 4–5 days.
  • Freeze in ice cube trays and transfer to a freezer bag for up to 3 months.

Note: Servings: ~1 cup (enough for 4 servings of pasta). Nutritonal per Serving is for ~1/4 cup.
