Description

A comforting Southern-inspired side dish made with garden-fresh kale, simmered low and slow in vegetable broth with garlic, red pepper, butter, and a hint of smoky flavor. Perfect for cozy meals and farm-to-table feasts.

Instructions

  1. Rip kale leaves off stems and chop into bite-size pieces.
  2. Place in a pot with a small amount of vegetable broth and a splash of apple cider vinegar.
  3. Add chopped garlic, crushed red pepper, butter or vegan butter, and liquid smoke.
  4. Cook on low for 2 hours or until the kale is soft and flavorful. Stir occasionally and add more broth if needed to prevent drying out.
