Cutting a Jackfruit as a pro Unripe: Use as a meat replacement for stir-fries, stews, curry. Use oil for hands and knife while cutting, because of the sticky juice. Cut off the stem and peel. Strings and fruit-pods can be eaten. Seeds can be eaten, and must be cooked. Ripe: eat fruit pods raw.
