Description
A refreshing, tart-sweet herbal drink made by infusing cranberry hibiscus leaves in a simple syrup. Perfect served cold on a hot day.
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine water and sugar.
- Bring to a boil, then turn off the heat.
- Add cranberry hibiscus leaves to the pot.
- Turn heat back on to medium-low and return to a slight simmer.
- Once simmering again, turn off the heat.
- Let the mixture cool completely.
- Strain the liquid and pour into glass containers with lids.
- Chill in the refrigerator and serve cold.
Notes:
- You can reduce the sugar for a lighter version.
- Optionally, add a squeeze of lime or a slice of ginger for extra flavor.
- Store refrigerated for up to a week.
